TMS Therapy for Depression
Get Relief with TMS
Why TMS?
When you struggle with depression and your medications aren’t working, TMS therapy can offer hope.
TMS may be right for you if you agree with two or more:
While depression medications work for many people, some people still do not feel relief. For hard to treat depression where medication is not giving you adequate relief, TMS is a proven, safe depression treatment option.
Patients undergo TMS at our offices in an outpatient treatment session that lasts approximately 20-40 minutes. They are awake throughout the session and are able to return to their regular activities directly afterward. Patients typically receive a series of TMS treatments over a period of several weeks or months.
TMS is an extremely safe procedure and does not carry the negative side effects of many medications used to treat depression. Approximately half of all patients experience significant improvement in their symptoms. Unlike medication, TMS also provides enduring relief from depressive symptoms, even one year after receiving treatment.
Many commercial and Medicare plans have recognized the effectiveness of treating depression with TMS Therapy and now cover TMS as part of their plans. TMS Therapy is widely reimbursed by most commercial and government health plans, including Medicare.
