She strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment and to be emotionally ready with an open mind for all patients. She uses an evidence-based approach to help people establish treatment goals, and develops an equal and collaborative relationship throughout the process. She maintains a positive, caring attitude at all times and strikes an effective balance between past, present, and future, with the focus fitting to the individual’s needs, strengths, and struggles.

In her professional life, Ningqi works with the refugee population, multicultural families, international students and the LGBTQ+ community. In her personal life, she advocates for social justice issues in order to protect the human rights of the most vulnerable, as well as to promote the importance of mental healthcare for those who are affected by injustice and marginalization.
